All about good diet

·

You might heard that your body is the reflection of your food habit. So, let’s discuss about how you can prepare a good diet.

Your body needs energy to think, perform daily activities, sleep and its own functioning. So you need to fuel your body that helps to all of it’s needs using good food. So, understand how your body utilises the food.

Understand that, any type of food that you eat has majorly two types of nutrients:

  • Micro nutrients – Such as Vitamins and minerals, this will be used for immune system, development, maintenance amd wellbeing. Although this is required in small amounts, but note that it is absolutely necessary in food.
  • Macro nutrients – Such as carbohydrates, fat and protein, used as fuel of body. Which means this helps body to do daily activities.

So, a good diet includes necessary amount of macro and micronutrients and body can utilise these according to its needs. Imbalances in any of these will results in not healthy body system.

An example macro composition

How to find the amount of macros and micros you need a day? You can always use some calorie counter apps from the market such as Fitnesspal. You can even use it as workout diary to count the reps of your sets and explore more! Additionally, you can use some food measuring scales to keep track of the amount of food that you eat, I can recommend a product that I’m using – HealthSense food weighing machine

Takeaway

  • Any kind of food is made up of macro and micronutrients
  • Macro nutrient are fuel of your body that helps you to do the daily activities
  • Micro nutrients helps the body in development, maintenance of body cells and wellbeing
  • A good diet contains good amount of both micro and macro nutrients
  • Use a calorie or food tracker to understand how much amount of macro and micro you need to consume.
