Since you are reading this post, you might have tried to reduce your weight, may be currently reducing weight, or planning to reduce weight. You might be seeing tons of supplements or fat burners for cutting some pounds of body weight on the internet. But understand that there is no other way to cut your body weight or fat apart from burning more calories than you eat. In addition to the caloric deficit, do you know what the best time or season to cut weight is? This is what I’m explaining here.

For the past 4 to 5 years, I have been dedicated to weight training and fat loss. Throughout this journey, I’ve gained valuable insights that I’d like to share. When it comes to weight loss, the key is understanding calories—how much you consume versus how much you burn.
As you know, to lose weight, we need to burn more calories than we consume. From my experience, I’ve observed that weight loss tends to accelerate during the winter or rainy season. This means that if I start losing weight in the summer and maintain the same calorie deficit and workout routine through the colder seasons, I often see even greater progress.
This is because when the outside temperature drops, our bodies require more energy to maintain heat. As a result, we need more energy to survive in winter or the rainy season than we do in the summer, leading to significantly higher energy usage during these colder seasons.
So, if someone is trying to lose weight, I strongly recommend choosing the winter or rainy season, as it can accelerate your weight loss journey.
Conclusion
- The weight loss journey is more beneficial in winter or the rainy season because the body works harder to maintain its heat, which means we require more energy to survive during these seasons.
